... and nowhere to go

Ruffles All Dressed

I wasn't sure what to expect with this flavor. They pretty much turned out to be barbecue flavored. Maybe a bit too sweet.

Wikipedia says that "All-Dressed" is "... a potato chip flavour popular in Canada. The flavour combines the potato chip flavors of barbecue, sour cream and onion, ketchup, and salt and vinegar."

The subtlety was completely lost on me.

Ruffles is the name of a brand of ruffled (crinkle-cut) potato chips owned by Frito-Lay.

Do the Truffle Shuffle!

Lay's Wavy West Coast Truffle Fries

This was the last of Lay's strange flavors available at the local grocery. These had a strong taste that I assume is what truffle fries taste like. Maybe it would help if I'd ever actually had truffle fries, but I thought they were just so-so.

That Which Cannot Be Pronounced Correctly

Lay's Kettle Cooked Greektown Gyro

These were probably my least favorite of Lay's strange flavors so far (not counting the Cappuccino ones - those were just plain wrong). The "greek spices" taste was a bit too strong and there wasn't much of a flavor of gyro meat.

Wassaaaaabi!

Lay's Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger

These had a strong wasabi flavor and a decent amount of pickled ginger. Overall I thought they were pretty good and would be a reasonable addition to their regular product line.

Breakfast?

Lay's Southern Biscuits and Gravy

The weird thing about this flavor was that at first it didn't taste like much. Then I could suddenly taste greasy biscuits, and then the gravy. Then there was an aftertaste of sausage. Cindy refused to try them.

Eat these with a Reuben and the universe will explode

Lay's New York Reuben

The really disturbing thing about this flavor is that you can taste the rye bread. Cindy noted that she could still taste it the next morning despite eating Indian for dinner, tooth brushing, etc.

Doritos are Din-a-mita!

Doritos Dinamita Chile Limón

These were in the vending machine at work. They're strange and very spicy - almost excessively so.

Disturbingly Accurate

Pringles Food Truck Flavors Cheese Burger

These tasted exactly like a McDonald's cheeseburger, right down to the diced onions and pickles. Actually, I kind of like them.
